Plants are pruned to encourage branching. These are this spring's seedlings that will flower in late summer.


Verbena bonariensis 'Buenos Aires' is a tall perennial with beautiful branching stems of up to 2m topped with branched clusters of delicate purple flowers from summer to autumn. For a healthy and productive plant, deadhead flowers in autumn and cut down the plant in spring as new growth emerges.  Plants are cut back for packing.

Height: 1.5 - 2.5m in 2 to 5 years

Spread: 10 - 50cm
