Rudbeckia fulgida var. speciosa  'Newmannii'


If planted as a division, set the growth point at or only just below the soil surface level.

Vigorous clump-forming herbaceous perennial, this Black Eyed Susan with elliptic to lance-shaped, mid-green leaves and, from late summer into autumn (one of the longest flowering seasons of any perennial), upright, leafy stems bearing daisy-like, golden-yellow flowers with dark brown central cones.


Grow in any, free-draining soil in a sunny or lightly shaded position. Takes moderate but not extreme drought.


Rudbeckia fulgida var. speciosa (Newman's coneflower) will reach a height of 0.9m and a spread of 0.5m after 2—5 years.


Young plants grown in a 9cm pot for planting immediately or to grow on (plastic pot removed when possible to reduce plastic wastage)
