Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Orange Field' or 'Orangofield' is a clumping perennial with mid-green, oval to heart-shaped leaves to 10cm long. Long-stalked, narrow spikes of flowers open from 

dark buds from mid summer to autumn the closest to orange of any variety to date but really orangey salmon. Best grown in any soil in full sun or light shade, works well in a bog garden, or at the water's edge but will be shorter in dryish soil.

Cut down after flowering, or in winter/early spring.
