Panicum virgatum 'Warrior' Prairie Grass is a tall, deciduous perennial grass with flat, narrow, lance-shaped, leaves in spring and summer that swish in the wind and turn golden-brown in autumn.

Diffuse panicles of small purple-pink spikelets are borne in late summer and remain standing all winter. Grow in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.

Remove dead stems flowers in spring. This clone is not the best ;for several years many stems fell over in our rich soil and normally we send fallers to the compost heap.It was left for its valuable misty effect in arrangements and since the soil fertility has diminished it has remained upright. So,for poor soil only!
