white midrib. Native to China, Japan,
Korea and Russia so suited to a British climate.Can make a tropical looking feature plant or a summer screen to nearly 2m in even the first year of planting:plant 30cm to 1m apart depending on how quickly you want a dense barrier. Tolerates most conditions but grows best in moderately
fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun or light shade. Where stems are left for winter interest, they should be cut to the ground
by around Xmas when they start to moult leaves. Generally pest and disease free. To achieve the height indicated keep it moist.
