Juncus effusus Common Rush is a clump-forming, evergreen, grass-like perennial to 1.5m, well suited to pond edges and bog gardens. Stems are bright green to yellow,

rounded and form arching fans. From late spring to summer, rounded heads of small green to brown flowers emerge on the sides of the

stems, just below the tips. Grow in permanently moist, acidic soil in full sun or full shade. May also be grown in very shallow water at pool

margins. Remove dead foliage and old flowered stems in spring.
