Hesperantha coccinea 'Ruth' Crimson Flag Lily is a vigorous, clump-forming, semi-evergreen perennial, to 65cm tall, with narrow, upright, sword-shaped leaves. From late summer through autumn,

full-petalled, pure pink flowers open in succession from the base of the erect flowering spikes on this excellent recently introduced variety. 

Grow ideally in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Shelter from cold, drying winds and provide an organic mulch in winter. 

Cut down stems after flowering.Worth noting that although growing in nature in moist soils (they can even grow in a pond with the roots submerged)

they tolerate quite dry soils well and also moderate shade.
