Helianthus microcephalus JS 'Straffe Prairie Gast' is a dainty plant that is more refined than most sunflowers, with late cheerful clear yellow flowers from September to November, 

providing inviting autumn colour. With an erect, bushy habit this sunflower grows to around five feet tall. Grow 

in neutral to alkaline, well-drained soil and can be cut back by half in early midsummer to keep low.All the merits of the species and with an additional row of petals to each flower.

Height: 100-150cm in 2-5 years

Spread: 30-45cm
