Epimedium versicolor sulphureum produces delicate sulphur-yellow flowers looking rather like little hats, hence the common name Bishops Hat, the delicate blooms nod gently in the slightest breeze.

 

Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Divide every three years or so to maintain vigour and flowering.

Deadhead to promote more blooms, and cut back old stems after flowering.
