Cichorium intybus 'Roseum'-This edible chicory is a perennial plant that sends up flower spike in summer from a basal rosette of leaves. The slender stems, reaching 1.2m or more in height, bear pink flowers each quite like a dandelion, that are at their best in the mornings. Grow in well-drained soil in full sun. It can fall over in good soil so give it an early summer chop back to avoid this.Very distinct effect.
