Centaurea triumfettii subsp. stricta is a clump-forming, rhizomatous, deciduous perennial with woolly, narrowly lance-shaped, toothed, grey-green leaves and, in early summer, upright stems bearing pink purple flower heads with reddish-purple central florets.

Deadhead to prolong the flowering season. Cut back after flowering to promote the production of new leaves.

Grow in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in sun.
