Aster Tataricus is a clump forming with upright growth to 1.2m in height, and distinctive lance-shaped, toothed, mid-green leaves, larger at the base of the plant and smaller on the stems. Abundant, small, dark lavender-blue, yellow-centered flowerheads 2.5cm across, are borne during autumn
