A handsome plant for pots (alone or as basal  planting to set off taller,especially darker plants),which contain the roots. Not suitable for open ground other than where a spreader is wanted -excellent ground cover. Keep the soil moist to prevent leaf scorch. Sun or shade.Shear over once in summer if the foliage starts to look tired -it might in full sun.Used very extensively(presumably deliberately)in Monet's garden at Giverny.
