Actaea japonica 'Cheju-Do' is a compact, herbaceous perennial with slender, branched racemes of white, bottle-brush-like flowers up to 60cm (2ft) in summer, above green dissected foliage. Best grown in cool, moist, reasonably fertile soil in partial shade but will tolerate most soils if enriched with organic matter. May need staking. Cut back after flowering.
