A. x huteri is a mat- to mound-forming, evergreen perennial with pinnatifid, silvery-grey leaves and short stems bearing dense clusters of white flowers in summer and early autumn.

 

Grows best in moist, well-drained soil. Will tolerate a wide range of soil conditions, except for heavy, wet winter clay. Reacts well to being divided every year.

 

Cut back untidy foliage in spring.
